ICE BATH COLD WATER THERAPY
FROM 2°c

Overview
The ice bath (cold water therapy) involves submerging the entire body from the neck down in water no warmer than 15 ° celsius. Studies demonstrate compelling potential mental and physical health benefits. Either on its own, or combined with the sauna (for contrast therapy), it allows you to take your health and wellbeing to the next level.
Our ice bath uses filtered water and is temperature controlled from as low as 2°C, so you set your own goals.
potential benefits
Immersing yourself in cold water has some distinct health benefits, as many health influencers, celebrities, athletes, and trainers will happily confirm. These may include:
- Stress relief
- Reduced pain and inflammation
- Increased metabolism
- Heightened immune response
- Enhanced mindfulness
- Brown fat activation
- Increased mental fortitude
- Improved endurance
- Improved skin condition
Practical Tips
Relaxed breathing is a key element to your ice bath experience. We recommend the 4-7-8 method:
- Breathe in quietly through the nose for four seconds, don’t sharply inhale. Ensure the air intake rate is similar to your normal breathing
- Hold your breath for seven seconds
- Exhale sharply through your mouth, making s whoosh sound as you do, for 8 seconds, the goal is to empty your lungs of air
- Repeat until you feel your heart rate has dropped and reached a calm state
It’s always a good idea to consult with a relevant health professional before beginning your cold water therapy journey.
It’s best and safest to start by acclimating yourself into the cold temperatures. By gradually exposing your body to colder water temperatures, you allow it to adapt and build resilience, both physically and mentally.
